Interning at Marc Jacobs has to be one of my most incredible opportunities I have ever been given. Completely throwing myself in the deep end by moving to New York alone and working at such an amazing place blew my mind slightly!
I have to admit, the first 2 weeks were the hardest. I'd never been to New York prior to this, so I wasn't too sure what to expect. Working on the resort collection was such a rewarding experience, seeing the collection come together and then the end photoshoot was on the Marc Jacobs building roof.

The collection was so heavy embellished and colourful, it was a wonderful collection and all the pieces looked amazing when they were finished. After the endless hours of hand sewing where we were up all night trying to stay awake.
I loved the poses in the images, they look so refreshing from your normal straight forward fashion images. The clothes were shot on the roof with the New York scene and again with a white backdrop. (Which were also on the roof) The images were only shot with the natural sunlight, hence some of the shading on the images posted on ect.
They chose to publish the scenic images on instagram and the white backdrop ones on fashion related websites.  Personally not sure why they did this- I much prefer the scenic images as they look brilliant with the obscure poses that the models are doing against the New York scenery.

Overall, my time at MJ and New York was indescribable! I feel like i've made a second home for myself in New York. It has to be up there with my favourite city in the world, along side London of course. Although I do prefer NY weather.... I could go on for hours about rooftop bars, brunch locations; i'll save that for another post to come!
